Case Study

Mr. 1 Dribble Pull Up

A full athlete development platform (AthleteOS) built as an installable app — training assignments, video-reviewed check-ins, XP and badge progression, team rosters, and a parent portal, run from a coach admin console with subscription billing built in.

Outcomes
  • Replaced ad hoc training coordination with a real platform: teams, rosters, workout assignments, and progress tracking all in one system.
  • Added a video check-in and coach review workflow, so training feedback and XP rewards run through a real approval queue instead of guesswork.
  • Built a gamified progression system — XP, badges, skill ratings, and a game-card style profile — to keep athletes engaged between sessions.
  • Set up subscription billing and role-based access for coaches, athletes, and parents, ready to activate as the program scales.

Problem

Mr. 1 Dribble Pull Up had built real attention as a training brand, but no real system behind it — no way to assign and track training for individual athletes, coordinate teams, or give parents visibility into their kid's progress, beyond social media and word of mouth.

Approach

The project was scoped as a full athlete development platform, not a marketing site: a coach console for running programs and teams, an athlete experience built around progress and motivation, and a parent view into it all, installable as an app on any phone without needing an app-store release.

Build

Coaches manage a full roster, build teams and organizations, author multi-phase training programs down to individual workouts, and review athlete video check-ins in a dedicated film-room queue before releasing XP and feedback. Athletes get assigned workouts and missions, track a full skill-attribute and testing history (vertical, sprint, agility, shooting), earn XP and badges, build a game-card style profile, and follow a career timeline with their own privacy controls — including an optional public scout profile. Parents get a read-only view into their linked athletes' progress. Subscription billing is built and wired in for a family-wide plan unlocking every linked athlete, and every account is role-gated (coach, athlete, parent, trainer) with its own dashboard.

Results

Mr. 1 Dribble Pull Up now has a real operating system behind the brand — team and athlete management, a structured training and review workflow, and a progression system that keeps athletes engaged, all installable as an app and ready to bill subscriptions as the program grows.
